Shey Palace: Ancient capital of Ladakh with a huge gold-gilded Buddha statue.
Thiksey Monastery: A magnificent complex with a 30m high statue of Maitreya Buddha.
Hemis Monastery: One of Ladakh’s largest and richest monasteries, founded in the 1630s.
Return to Leh by evening.

After breakfast, drive to Lamayuru Monastery, known for its dramatic lunar-like landscapes and ancient heritage. Experience the peaceful prayer ceremony with monks.
Continue to Alchi Monastery, famous for its Indo-Tibetan art and 1000-year-old wall paintings. Unlike other monasteries, Alchi is located on flat ground amid shady gardens.

Visit:
Likir Monastery – Home to a massive 3-storey golden Buddha statue and ancient artifacts.
Basgo Palace & Temples – Once the capital of lower Ladakh, known for remarkable murals and Maitreya statue.
Drive back to Leh and check into the hotel. Evening free.

Early morning drive to the enchanting Tso Moriri Lake via Upshi, following the scenic Indus River.

Marmot (Phya) valley
Arrive at Korzok Village, the only permanent settlement near the lake. Visit Korzok Monastery in the evening.
Overnight: Camp – Tso Moriri
After breakfast drive to:
Puga Valley – With sulphur springs and geysers
Tso Kar (White Lake) – Known for salt deposits and Tibetan Wild Ass (Kiangs)
Tanglang La Pass (5329m) – World’s third highest motorable road
Pass through beautiful villages: Rumtse, Gya, Miru, and Lato. Arrive Leh by evening.

Drive to Nubra Valley via the legendary Khardung La Pass (18,390 ft) — the highest motorable road in the world.
Arrive Hunder and spend your time exploring Hunder & Diskit villages.
Overnight: Camp/Cottage – Hunder
After breakfast, visit the famous Sand Dunes for an optional Bactrian Camel Safari.
Drive back to Leh via Khardung La. Evening free to relax or visit local markets.
